I have somewhat the same fireplace and mantle as your older one and do not like it one bit! I absolutely love what you did to yours and wish could do the same to mine. However, I am totally inexperienced on DIY home projects and appreciate some guidance. I was also looking for this project details and was wondering if you ever posted as you had mentioned in your spring mantle blog that you would. Will be looking forward to your response.
